- Minister Reddy has highlighted the government’s commitment to providing subsidized LPG cylinders at Rs 500 to all eligible individuals with an active LPG connection and a white ration card. Currently, around 42.29 lakh families benefit from the Maha Lakshmi scheme. To enhance subsidy distribution efficiency, the government proposes direct payments to oil companies, aiming to charge consumers only Rs 500 per cylinder. This proposal is under consideration by the Centre, with reimbursements currently being processed within three days.
